    This weeks readings brought to my attention yet another science I hadn't even thought about before. Acoustic ecology is a very interesting concept. I hadn't really thought before about how the things around me relate to me and each other sonically. at the end of the video, when the sound stops and all you can hear is whatever is going on around you, I did notice that most of what I heard came from machines. All i could really hear was the ac unit outside buzzing and a clock ticking in the other room.

     These TED talks and the article on Synesthesia were very interesting to read/watch. I had never really known a lot about these different forms of perception before and didn't realize that there were people who perceived the world in this way. I wish I could experience these sensations so as to better understand them. Cynetics, makes a fair amount of sense to me, because it can be shown visually through scientific processes, but synesthesia is harder to comprehend, because all I really have to go on are the accounts of others who are able to experience it.
